Dubai is adding a touch of Bollywood to its skyline.
The city has unveiled Shahrukhz by Danube, a striking 55–56 storey commercial tower on Sheikh Zayed Road, named after and inspired by global superstar Shah Rukh Khan. Valued at nearly ₹4,000 crore, the project is set to become one of Dubai’s most talked-about business landmarks, with completion targeted for Q2 2029.

Sharing the stage with Danube chairman Rizwan Sajan and filmmaker Farah Khan, Shah Rukh Khan became emotional while speaking about the honour. In his trademark style, he danced, struck his famous poses, and joked about his rare public appearances, calling himself “like the Eid moon.”
He summed up the moment by saying he couldn’t wait to tell his children:
“Papa’s name is written here. This is Papa’s building.”
